For the past 18 years, Melissa has primarily focused on creating financial solutions to address the infrastructure challenges, operational needs, and energy and water sustainability goals of state/local government and private entities throughout the SE Region. She has leveraged development, engineering, and construction resources to identify and retrofit infrastructure inefficiencies. Her clients have achieved lower operating costs through addressing capital needs, deferred maintenance, system upgrades, and system optimization programs.

Melissa attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University where she received her undergraduate degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering. She began her professional career as a Consultant for Accenture before joining the Building & Energy Conservation Construction Industry in 2003. The projects implemented with her leadership are saving state and local government entities more than $150M in utility and operational costs. Some of these entities include Georgia Institute of Technology ($6.2M), City of Atlanta Watershed ($86M), City of Atlanta Airport ($12M), Georgia Department of Corrections ($28.6M), NC A&T State University ($3.8M), City of Opa-Locka, FL ($3.4M); Hillsborough County, FL ($3.3M); City of Cocoa, FL ($125K); City of Cocoa Beach, FL ($108K).
